The Mini Filter ceramic Element is used as a replacement cartridge for the Katadyn Mini filter. It is effective in killing the water borne organisms.
It is made up of ceramic with silver impregnation. The Ceramic filter is silver-impregnated to inhibit bacterial growth inside its pores. The 0.2 micron ceramic filter element is effective against all protozoa, bacteria, algae, spores, sediment and viruses. It filters up to 2,000 gallons of water before needing replacement. The Mini filter can also filter cloudy water, but then needs to be cleaned more often.
It is ideal for travel, stay in hotel, short trips and day hiking. It also reduces radioactive particles. It includes a ceramic microstrainer, o-ring for ceramic element, and cleaning and measuring device.
